²³ and all the kings of the earth sought to consult Solomon in order to hear from him the wisdom that God had implanted in his heart. ²⁴ Moreover, every single one of those kings brought a gift with him: objects of silver and gold, garments, weapons, spices, horses, and mules in an annual tribute.

²⁵ Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horses, which he stationed in the chariot cities and with the king in Jerusalem.
